Who needs to install Cintoo Connect?
Cintoo Connect must be installed on the Windows desktop of users who will upload laser scan data from their desktop to Cintoo, or users who will download laser scan data from Cintoo as point clouds to their desktop.
The users who will access Cintoo for viewing, measuring, annotating, cropping, creating orthographic sections or elevations, etc. and who will not import / export laser scan data do not need to install Cintoo Connect.
How to install Cintoo Connect?
1. From My Projects page, open the Cintoo project where the data needs to be uploaded. The newest version of Cintoo Connect is available from the drop-down Add menu at the top right.
2. Download the latest version of Cintoo Connect and follow the instructions to run the installation.
- Administrator rights on your PC are not needed to install Cintoo Connect.
3. Once installation is complete, launch Cintoo Connect by initiating an upload process or export process from the Cintoo web app. Cintoo Connect cannot be launched or opened in standalone mode on desktops or laptops. It is launched only from the Cintoo web app after the user has logged into the platform.
See the following articles for next steps to launch and run Cintoo Connect:

- Export Scan Data from Cintoo
Note: Some third-party libraries we use require the installation of the Wireless Lan Service. By default when configuring Windows Server 2019, this feature is not added. The solution is to install this feature by doing the following inside the Windows Server 2019 VM.
1. Open Server Manager
2. Select Features | Add Feature
3. Select Wireless LAN Service
4. Install it and Restart the VM
