Uploading GeoSLAM data

The data expected by Cintoo Connect from the GeoSLAM Mobile Indoor devices is the following:

  1. Unstructured point cloud in E57 format
  2. Walking /scanning path in TXT format

Upload GeoSLAM Scans Using Cintoo Connect

  • Select Mobile Scan from Add dropdown menu in a selected project and Work Zone.
  • Select Mobile Laser Scans tab.
  • Select GeoSLAM Zeb series
  • Select an E57 file generated as described above
  • Modify Positions sampling value as needed:
    • For example, 500 will create 1 scan location for every 500 frames included in scanning path.
    • Number of 3D scans and average distance between each one will be indicated in Cintoo Connect and will be added to our scan count.
  • Regarding Blur faces advanced option 
    • It is checked by default, thus enabling automatic blurring of people captured in any panoramic images included in scans being uploaded to Cintoo.
    • Uncheck this option to prevent automatic blurring any people in panoramic images.
    • Blurring cannot be undone in Cintoo after scans have been uploaded.
    • Any files uploaded without Blur faces option enabled must be deleted from Cintoo project and re-uploaded with the option checked in order to apply automatic blurring.
  • Click Import
  • Check Messages tab from time to time to see if the process is running smoothly
  • New 3D scans will appear one by one in Cintoo project
