Get Floor Level for Unified Point Cloud Using Cloud Compare

This article describes a workflow to get floor level data for the unstructured scan data to be imported with the option Unified Point Cloud using Cloud Compare software.

1. Open scan data in Cloud Compare using File > Open.

 

2. With the point cloud file selected in the DB Tree, click the Point list picking icon, and pick at the bottom of each floor on the point cloud file:

3. Copy the Z values of the floor levels, leaving down to 0 decimals to be inserted in the Unified Point Cloud option in Cintoo Connect.
