This article explains how to edit exported CSV tag reports in a way to import new tag information into a Cintoo project.
Permissions: users with roles including View Tags and Manage Tags permissions can import tag lists.
Note: unlimited tagging capacity is available only with TWIN edition, while BIM edition users do not have access to this functionality.

1. Export a Tag List that contains tags to be modified.
- ID of the tag
- 6 coordinates of the tag bounding box
- Description (if a description has been entered for the tag)
- Cintoo URL of each tag (e.g., https://aec.cintoo.com/tag/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx)
- All the metadata for each tag
2. Open CSV file and make edits to each tag as needed.
Warning: do NOT edit any existing tag ID, bounding box coordinates, or Cintoo URL.
Tag description and any tag metadata are OK to edit.
Add new rows with at least id column filled in to create additional tags. These new rows will automatically generate new tags when CSV is imported to Cintoo.
3. When all necessary edits have been made, save and close out CSV file.
4. Re-import a Tag List to Cintoo from Tag Explorer or from Data tab.
- Cintoo will check each value in ID column of the spreadsheet file, and for any existing ID on the list it will replace any metadata value that is different from the current value for that tag.
- If the Tag ID does not exist in the original tag list in Cintoo, a new tag will be created.
