Cintoo Teleportation, powered by TurboMesh™, allows to move through scan-to-scan and 3D models using panoramic virtual vantage points populated by the teleport camera. Maneuvering the laser scans is now just like playing a video game, giving the ability to automatically and seamlessly move from one point to the next, whether it’s through scan data or BIM/CAD models.
Watch the video here: Introducing Teleportation.
Follow the steps below to use Teleportation in the Cintoo 3D View:
1. Selecting a project from My Projects opens it directly in the 3D View tab at the first scan view in the project, alternatively click on the Visualize in 3D View on the project tile or on the same button in project menu on the map:
2. In 3D View, the navigation mode will be set to Scan & Teleport by default.
To activate the Teleport mode follow the instruction below the Navigation bar.
3. Move the mouse to position the Teleport cursor in the desired location, and left-mouse click to teleport:
4. To adjust the teleport height, hold Shift key and scroll the mouse wheel up or down to raise/lower the height:
5. The Progress Wheel indicates when data is still loading in the view:
6. When using Teleportation to navigate large scenes with far distances, the view range will be optimized for data streaming and display performance:
7. Click Scan and Teleport to display the full view range of the scene:
Note: teleportation is only enabled on horizontal planes, not on vertical surfaces:
