Troubleshooting High-Resolution Scan Exports

Modified on Tue, 7 Feb, 2023 at 11:51 PM

When reviewing the log files, you may come across the message "An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host." This error occurs when the PC does not have enough memory to export high-resolution scans, such as a 160 million point scan which requires 12GB of free memory. As a solution, try exporting the scans as structured E57 instead of RCP. If the structured E57 export is successful, it will generate an E57 file for each scan position, which can then be imported into ReCap to create an RCP file.

The "Temporary Cache Files" folder is created by the Recap SDK during the export process to create the RCS/RCC files. It is automatically deleted when the export is successful. If the export fails, the user can safely delete this folder. Cintoo Connect does not track which scans have been exported in previous runs, so it is the user's responsibility to unselect the scans from Cintoo Cloud before clicking the "Export Scans" button.

Note that this is not the folder where the RCS/RCC files are stored during the export. The folder where they are created is directly in the Support folder, the same folder where the "Temporary Cache Files" is created:
