Navigation Map

This article describes Navigation Map interface.
Navigation Map is available in 3D View both in Scan&Teleport mode and in 3D Navi mode. Toggle it on/off by clicking on the corresponding button at the bottom right of 3D View.

Navigation Map is also available while using share links.

Navigation Map is created dynamically based on the RGB content of scans. It is a top view of the project, and it shows all scan positions that are at the same level than the current viewpoint.

Interface

Yellow cone depends on the current camera orientation and field of view. Transparency level depends on vertical orientation of the camera:

  • Light yellow means that the current camera looks downwards.
  • Dark yellow means that the current camera looks upwards.

Pan or zoom in and out to select the next scan position by using mouse wheel.

Hovering the mouse over one red icon highlights the corresponding scan in 3D View.

Click on any scan position to switch to this scan position in Scan mode in 3D View.

Drop-down menu on the top left represents different data to be shown on Navigation Map:

  • Scan colors - scan data is visible
  • Model lines
  • Site map
